About our mission
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.-Romans 8:28 |
The mission is simple. Help schools. Give hope.
We are driven by our desire to serve, rooted in our faith in God.

It started with a boat builder...Sitting in Orlando FL at a dealer meeting for the world renowned ski and wake boat builder, Nautique Boat Company. The president of the company talked about the outreach program "Nautique Cares". I had known about their work and trips, and thought this was another update on what they did over the past year. Yawn-as I sat there fiddling with my phone.
Then as if someone slapped the back of my head I heard then president Bill Yergan say: "We are inviting dealers to take part in a upcoming trip." I instantly knew I had to go. However, I was not so gung ho after I learned we were going El Salvador. Over the next few months leading up to the trip, I tried to back out. |
...and was revealed in

I'm thankful that God did not let me back out. I tried. But, everything lined up and would not allow me an excuse to quit. Even my wife got a phone call from a friend of hers, who had no idea of the upcoming trip, that she had felt God prompt her to call my wife and say that the Lord was going to fulfill all of my desires.
At that time I still had no idea of what my desires were. I just knew I was going on a trip with a bunch of strangers, to a strange place the US State Department warned travelers not to visit!! After arriving on the ground I met the missionaries who run the school Casa La Atarraya - Bob and Maria Hamilton. The Hamiltons, along with their five children Jennifer, Eric, Caleb, Joshua, and Jacob. Have been growing and building this amazing school. |
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Colossians 3:23

Our family feels blessed to be called friends and partners with this amazing school. We feel it is an honor to be able to contribute in a small way to help the students grow and learn.
Over the past year the Lord has allowed us to contribute in small ways to the school. In August of 2016, we spent a week on the ground contributing to the school and community. We were able to add a wireless network to the school's design center and library, a VSAT internet connection, 8 new computers, a 3D printer for the design center, tools for the carpentry shop, and to assist the school in their community outreach program.
Over the months of planning for this trip, we felt called to reach out beyond our home, beyond our local church and beyond our local community. The larger our network of friends and supporters, the larger impact we can make. With that thought, 828 Networks was created. We hope by expanding and calling on a broad network of supporters we can continue work not only at Casa La Atarraya, but to other schools as well. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit and any gifts made to 828 Networks are tax deductible.
How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:14-15
